DS is due Sept 3. DD will be moving up to the 2yr old room in Aug & will be 2yo Sept 1. This is the room at daycare where they start PT'ing but they don't force it. We thought her exposure to that would help us train her. We decided we'd wait until after the baby was here to PT. She's never seemed concerned about her potty habits. And we didn't want her regressing.
But the last 2 days, she's started to tell me "momma change" When before, I had to BEG her to let me change her. Then last night, she pooped while we were picking up toys & took her diaper off, left it on the floor & said "momma poopoo"
Re: Are these signs she's ready to potty train?
We are in a similar boat. The next LO is due in September, and DD is just about two, so we figured we'd wait until we are past that point to start. Plus, she only goes into the daycare room where they start working with them in September.
But tonight she asked to sit on the little potty we've had sitting around just to get her used to it, and then asked for privacy, and then actually peed! We were stunned. So I guess she is ready now! She started doing the same thing a few weeks ago -- telling us when she pooped, or asking to be changed specifically.
