Potty Training

Everyone has an opinion, huh?

I like how everyone has an opinion and feels the need to tell you about it.  We did the 3 day PT this past weekend and I mentioned it to a co-worker that we were PT on the weekend.  I think she thought we were nuts.  Then I causually mention today that he had an accident last night and co-worker starting telling me to wait until he was 4, and to not even bother with the night training, blah, blah, blah, I should just put a pullup on him, yada, yada, yada, night training will be too stressful on us, uh huh, uh huh, uh huh...and so on and so on.

Why on earth can't I just do what I think is best for my child WHEN I think it's best for him?  Daycare was even surprised that we don't put a diaper/pull-up on him for nap time.  I just don't get it, can't we just do what WE think is best without getting all the side-eyes?

DS was 19 months old when he was night trained- it wasn't hard at all.  In fact, I wish we did it sooner but "everyone" says they can't be nightrained that young so don't bother.  I know for us, it helped him.
  • I hear ya. I waited purposely to the summer-twins will be 3 in Sept.  because I knew I would be home (teacher).  I got the opposite because my friends gave me some problems about waiting so long.  But it turned out perfectly because in just a couple of weeks, I think they both have it down. I knew if would be easier for them/me.  I was so stressed about this whole p/t thing and am so glad to be done with the hard part!   Good luck to you and do what's right for you and your son!
  • Amen to that sista!
