I work FT right now, but I am looking at cutting back my hours pretty drastically (from about 60 to about 12).
I was thinking I would still like to keep my cleaning service every other week, and maybe have someone come by and help with the boys a few hours a day two or three days a week.
Do you have help or do you do it all on your own?

Our family is complete!
I have a cleaning crew and just recently got a babysitter to come in every other Wed morning so I could run errands. Other than that, it's all me and DH.
My twins are due in 2 weeks but I'll have alot of help. I have a weekly cleaning lady and I'll have a nanny help me full-time with all three kids. it's mainly to enable me to take the kids out to the park, zoo, classes, etc. and so I can do things like bath all three more easily.
I'd probably have someone part-time if I just had 2 kids.
The only "help" I have is my mom who lives locally and will watch the boys if I need to run errands or do a real good cleaning of the house or something. I've been considering hiring a regular babysitter a morning or two a week but I'm not sure it's worth it on our budget.
If I could afford a cleaning service, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Our second isn't here yet, but we have a bi-weekly cleaning lady, which has been a huge lifesaver. I am currently interviewing babysitters/mother's helpers for after the baby gets here, to play with DD about 8 hours/week. I'd prefer for her to go to a Mom's Day Out program, but she is currently wait-listed, so we'll see.
I know a lot of people do 2u2 with no help, and I'm sure I'd be just fine, but the house would be dirty, and I might go slightly insane. Also, my mom and MIL are over about once/week to hang out with DD, which helps a lot.
until the first wk of aug i have a sitter to come 4 hrs a wk to help with DS. Other than that, no. dh works offshore for 3 wks and we have no family here...
when dh is home its great, when hes gone its hard but i have friends to support me and keep me busy.
Nope, we do it all on our own. We don't even have any family within 12 hours of us. This is quite possibly why we go crazy at times.
In fact, I'm quite surprised at all of the replies stating they have some sort of help. Perhaps this is why everyone on this board raves about 2u2 and the fact that they would do it again in a heartbeat.

I considered hiring a mother's helper type person for the summer, but honestly I haven't needed that much help yet. The baby sleeps a lot, so I can do stuff with DS then.
We do have a cleaning service though and I'm planning to send DS to preschool in the fall to have more one-on-one interaction with the baby (plus, it'll be good for him too).
We might hire a babysitter to come a few hours a week like you're suggesting when the LO is older and more alert.
THIS! Exactly, I could have written this myself!
