Insurance

Anyone on here have a probem with their insurance like getting on their spouses. I know I am pregnant but I have not been to the dr to confirm it yet because i have no insurance until the hubby just put me on his a week ago. Am I going to be denied coverage because of becoming pregnant?

Re: Insurance

  • You shouldn't. They may want confirmation of pregnancy! Pregnancy isn't considered a pre-existing condition. I was also going to mention you many want to take your full name out of your siggy..there are some real weirdo's on the net and for safety I would remove it! :) Good luck with the insurance!

  • She is Very right!! They legally can not say it is a pre-exsiting condition!!
  • It really depends on the plan. DH's old plan stipulated that once I was added to the policy, we had an 18 month waiting period before maternity benefits kicked in.

ETA: Otherwise what's to stop people from getting cheap catastrophic care insurance with no maternity benefits and then jumping on someone else's plan the day they get their BFP.

  • My husband added me to his insurance during pregnancy. we had to wait at least 30 days for it to process. No problem. Good Luck
