Re: CP: WWYD

  • Does your dr. have a limit on the total number of Clomid cycles you're allowed to do?  If so, then I'd probably give it a pass this month, as much as it sucks.

Yes, 6 months.  I'll be switching to an RE though I think, so that may change.

  • Do you know when his one day off is, or is it always changing? If it's predictable and it's near your potential O time I say try clomid. If not I would do bcps to avoid another crazy cycle. Good luck either way :)

I have to agree with this, even though I hate doing it. I wouldn't want you to "Waste" a Clomid cycle, when the situation is so up in the air.

I'm sorry, I hope you guys can maybe work something out so you don't have to be apart at O time.

  • Wait...okay, maybe this is a stupid question. Please forgive me.

Could he just deposit the swimmers before hand, and your doc do an IUI when you O? Is that possible?

This is a really good idea - especially if you are going to an RE - that may be one of their solutions. I would talk to your RE about DH's work schedule not just all the testing/etc. they will do with you. There are a bunch of ladies on the IF board that have DH's that travel for work and they have to deal with this.

m/c#1 07/16/08 (11 weeks), m/c#2 10/10/08 (8 weeks). and then nothing since except every test possible (no answers). IUI#1 and #2: BFNs Super lucky to be buddies with Peetie. Our out of nowhere, surprise DD born 5/29/2011

Not a stupid question.  At this point in time though I'm going to say it's not feasible.  He's only home about 24 hours and 5 of those would have to be spent just driving to the office to do a deposit.  We're also not willing to go the IUI route at this point in time, not to mention the cost.

Thanks.  Right now I don't know if or when I would O.  I took 50 of clomid last month and didn't O, so I have no idea when I would if 100 works.  He's usually home of a Saturday or Sunday, but that is subject to change.

  • is IUI an option for you? Not sure how long they can keep his deposit but maybe it could help with logistics.

EDIT: oops... didn't read all the other responses first
