Trouble TTC

Awake at 4am

I can't sleep I am really anxious about today. We have family that will be  arriving to our house this morning. I don't understand why DH told his family this would be a great week to visit. I just started my meds, the only thing on my mind is this cycle, we aren't telling them about it, and I don't think I can come up with fake conversations for the whole week. I really don't need this stress right now and to top it off his parents are planning to be here at our house the week I start injections, supposed to get triggered, have intercourse (on demand) and have 2 IUI's. Did I mention that MH suggested we get a HOTEL room the morning we are suppused to "do-it", because he doesn't think he "can" while his parents are on the other side of our house?!!

My hubby wants this "future child" so much. I actually accused him of only wanting to marry me for my "young reproductive system" the week before our wedding, because he talks about having kids SO MUCH. It is so funny to think of that argument now...who knew he would marry a girl 10 years younger just to find our her insides are crap. Even though he wants this so much, he just  doesn't understand how big of a deal the next few weeks are in reaching that goal, If he did he will tell his family something came up and this is not a good time to visit.

Sorry for all the complaining!

So sory you are awake.  IF sucks and when you have to open your home to family it adds more unneeded stress.  I know how hard it can be.  My mother-in-law had to stay with us for 2 months.  I hope things get better for you.  GL :)

  • I would seriously consider telling them about what you're going through. I have been very open about my issues, and it has been a very good thing for me. People are very supportive. They can't be supportive if they don't know what you're going through. It's not like any of us ever would want to go through this.

Good luck with your in-laws. I hope everything works out!

  • Thanks! I will talk to MH about it and see if we would be open to telling them about what we are going through. I am just really worried about having to tell them about a BFN, or a mc. I know I should be a little more positive, but it is so hard.

  • 2 months!! Wow, my little visits from his family seem like nothing compared to that. How did it go during that time? Did she know what you were going through?

  • I feel for you.  My IL's live close by, so I don't have to worry about them staying with me for any length of time, but just the thought of it makes me shudder.  My MIL has a very limited filter on her mouth and she says pretty much whatever.  My SIL says she has improved from when she and DH's brother got married, but she is still a little over the top.

She knows what is going on to a degree b/c of my 2 m/c's.  They didn't know I was pregnant yet - either time, but DH felt he had to tell them what happened after the fact (since my parents knew).

If you can talk to your IL's that would be the best I am sure.  I am not one that feels I can or even really want to share personal things with my MIL b/c she will tell everyone else in the family.  But, if you can that would probably make your visit easier.  Good luck.

Fortunately she is aware what we have been going through.  She would leave for hours to give us time to ourselves.  I think you should tell your in-laws what's been going on.  GL :)
