Have any of you ladies painted/decorated your own wall letters.  I bought all the stuff I need to do mine this afternoon but now I'm needing some inspiration.  If you have done your own would you please post a picture or give me some tips.  Please... tia

What is the theme of the room? I am doing a Safari themed room and I painted a giraffe print on the letters. It was really simple. I printed out the giraffe print from clip art and then used carbon paper and copied it onto the letters. Then I painted over it. It was very time consuming (i had seven letters to do) but came out super cute.

  • The bedding we have picked out is pink and green  with flowers so I am just going to paint my letters green and attach some bright pink flowers to some of the letters.  I haven't started the project yet and I am not too crafty, so we will have to see how they turn out...

  • The nursery is light pink and brown with ladybugs. I was thinking of doing each letter different like stripes on one polka dots I'm just worried i'm gonna mess them up I like the carbon paper idea though.  That's a great idea

  • I covered mine with different sheets of scrapbook paper that matches my nursery!  They came out so cute:)

This is what I am going to do.  There are so many great prints on scrapbook paper.  All you need is paper, an exacto knife, letters, and Mod Podge:)

I did this too... Got letters at Michael's and used different scrapbook paper and cut them to size. It was seriously easy. See below:)

  • I bought my letters yesterday at JoAnns Craft store they had a $1 off sale for all wooden letters.  I planned to paint them but after looking at Jesse*sGirl's letters I think I'm going to use her idea.  Her letters are beautiful
  • They also sell the letters at Michael's or most craft stores. I would just look around and compare the prices that you see. I was trying to come up with an idea of what to do with my letters and I think I will either paint them or use the scrapbook pages.
