Moms who have 2 already

Did you buy a double stroller?  I went to BRU and tried out various ones, and the ones I thought would be perfect aren't for various reasons.  Then I found a sit and stand at BRU that sets up as a regular seat in the back and can be converted to be bench seat as well. I thought this would be perfect because I don't think Jacob is at the age where he will listen and sit down when needed.  But it just has so many bad reviews and I don't know what to think.

So, I feel like i am back at square one and don't know what to do.  I feel like I need a double if I want to go anywhere this summer with the 2 of them alone, I will need that.  I also don't want to spend huge bucks on the "in" strollers these days like the city mini etc...just isn't in the budget.

So what have you mommas of 2 done?

    We got one used. So far I've used it twice. I usually push Maggie in her stroller and wear Owen in my Baby Hawk carrier.

    We decided not to get one.  I borrowed a Joovy sit n stand from Jenrose and just didn't like it.  I'd rather have somewhere to put my bag, phone, drink, etc...  than have both kids riding.  Also, I just think they are too big and bulky and that I wouldn't use it often for that reason.

    I have the Graco one and I use it SO MUCH. My DD isn't a big stroller kid (she is 3 now but was 2 1/2 when DS was born) so I debated on getting it. I'm so glad I did. We go on walks almost every day with it, plus it is great at the zoo and stuff. DD walks sometimes but it is nice to have when she gets tired.

    Also we have a wagon that we'll use for both of them when Owen is big enough. And when I go anywhere like the mall with someone else, we use the stroller and snap n go. I don't know what we'll do when Owen outgrows the pumpkin seat.

    we have this one, so far, it's perfect.

    We just recently switched it to the sit and stand.

    You can find it pretty cheap too and it got great reviews.

    We have the Sit N Stand and LOVE it!  DS and DD are only 19mths apart and we love it.  We  put DD in the front and DS on the bench part and there is a 3point harness there too if you want to buckle them in as well as a buckle that snaps behind them so they don't fall straight back onto the ground.  We have had no troubles with ours.  The only thing I don't like is the basket is useless if you need to get things in and out of it.  I hang my purse on the handle and it has 2 drink holders.  I also use it when I wear DD and I just use the extra space for storage :-)  Good luck in what you decide.

    We had one like you are describing, but never ended up using it.  I found myself always putting Charlotte in my Moby and pushing Ava in her stroller (a single Chicco Capri), in a cart or letting her walk along with us if we were at the type of outing that it was okay for her to do that.  Also, now that they're older, they like to ride in their wagon rather than a stroller.

    We got a double stroller, but we are heavy stroller users.  Justin loves to ride and I am going to ride that train as long as I can!  I had a Moby, but I'm just not much of a baby-wearer outside the house so I prefer the flexibility of the stroller.

    We got the Graco double stroller and it has worked fine for us.  It's not a side by side, which I actually like -- Justin doesn't keep his hands to himself very well and I don't need him aggravating his brother.  It does have a large basket underneath and two cupholders for the parent to use.  It's kind of heavy, but I was more or less used to that as we had the Graco Quattro Tour single stroller which is no lightweight.

    I don't think there is any such thing as a perfect double stroller.  They're just so big that you can't accommodate them everywhere unfortunately.  We were able to get our stroller for $100 at Treehouse Kids on clearance.
