I ordered a slip cover from here for my glider.  As soon as I pushed the order button, I realized that I had forgotten to order the cover for the ottoman so I had to do another order.  No problem- I had a free shipping code.  Well, sure enough, they don't fit.  Their website is very specific about returns and that it all has to be done in 30 days blah blah blah.  Well, I went online right away and requested the return number but it didn't give me a shipping label.  So I just called them and the guy tells me that I can only send one back at a time and he can't send me another return label until they receive the first.  Then I ask him how long it takes for the label to come and he says 5-10 business days.  So I tell him this won't work at all b/c that will push me beyond the 30 day cut off which is July 24.  Then I ask to speak to a manager and he tells me there is no manager there on the weekend.  Oh really?  So who's in charge then?  His reply- No one, it's just the customer service reps on the weekend.  For real- you really expect me to believe this BS?  So I push him to give me a managers extension so I can call back on Monday.  I just called the number thinking I could at least leave a message and its just some recording about Call 1-800-TALK for "exciting people today."  Now I'm getting pissed.  If this refund doesn't go through, I will be filing back with AMEX but man, this is just really crappy customer service.

  • Oh I'd be pissed and definitely be finding a manager/supervisor on monday to be talking to about that rep. I'd also make sure they know that you'll be telling everyone including a message board about what horrible customer service they have.

  • Are you telling me that dude gave you a fake number???  Oh, I hope you have his name!  I would definitely be talking to someone first thing Monday morning.  That is the most ridiculous policy!  What if you had order a lot of items?  That doesn't make sense that you can only return one thing at a time.

  • OK so I called back to try to talk to someone else and the second guy was much more helpful.  He said that I don't have to wait until after I send the first one back that I just need to wait until Monday and request the second shipping label.  Their computer just won't let them print more than 1 in a day.  Stupid.  Anyway, he apologized again but did say that there really is no one there in charge on the weekends.  He gave me a different number to call for a manager on Monday but when I called it, it just takes me back to the same menu as the number on their website but that may just be b/c it's a weekend and it forwards there.  Yeah, I will definitely be speaking with SOMEONE about the first guy.
