I posted earlier in the week about my MIL getting admitted to the hospital for kidney failure. Thankfully she has been released and is doing much better.
However, I just found out my Uncle is in the hospital with Spinal Meningitis. He had been having headaches for a while, and then when he went to the hospital he had trouble answering questions. When they asked what his name was he said "no" when they asked what the date was he said "maybe" etc. They are doing a biopsy tomorrow on some brain adhesions to figure out what kinda of meds he needs to be on, but he is almost certainly going to need rehab to be able to speak normally again.
On top of that I just got a call that my sister's colonscopy today did not go well. They suspected she might have Crohn's as well. She was supposed to be under twilight meds for the colonoscopy, but apparently she could feel and remembers everything. Including the first couple minutes when she was screaming her head off. The nurses said they had to give her twice the amount of meds to get her to calm down. Thankfully she doesn't have Crohn's, but they did find some polyps that they biopsied to try and figure out what is going wrong with her. She is really traumatized now and says she will not go through that again no matter what is wrong with her.
I terrified what the next thing to go wrong will be.
Re: The hits keep on coming....
Yikes. That's a lot to handle.
I hope things get better for you very soon...
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs
Thanks gals. I really appreciate the T&P!
The really sad thing is when I heard about my sister's experience my first thought after "ok God is she ok?" was "what if the same thing happens to me during ER when we start IVF." How sick is that? I can literally turn everything back to be about my IF apparently. I am so disgusted with myself right now.

I'm so sorry you are having to go through all of this right now and I hope things start to look up soon!
I'm so sorry that these things are happening at all, let alone all at once.
Lots of hugs to you during this difficult time.
I am so sorry your family is going through so much right now. I hope all the bad luck is out of the way so only good things can happen from this point on!
And if it makes you feel any better, my RE does not sedate me for ERs. He just gives me a shot of dilaudid and the retrieval, honestly, isn't that bad! So if heaven forbid, if the meds dont kick in correctly, I think you'll be okay! (just trying to give you one less thing on your plate to worry about) (((hugs)))

My family has the same theory. I'm so sorry. Especially for your sister. I'm glad it's not Crohn's but a diagnosis would at least be an answer - although not a good answer - I have a friend with it and it is a trying illness. I hope everyone is one a path to good health soon.
