White blisters on nipple

I returned to work this week and have been pumping more, not sure if it's from pumping or not but on of my nipples is really sore and cracked.  What I am more concerned about is that in the middle of the nipple there are two rather large white blister-like things.  They almost look like dried-up clumps of milk stuck to the nipple, but I can't get them off.  I have tried everything and they hurt!  Does anyone know what these could be or how to get rid of them?  I also used Lanolin on the nipple for the first time because it was chapped and this seemed to happen after I used that.  Could it be Lanolin stuck to the nipple?  Help!

    Sounds like a milk blister.

    I have get them a lot. To be honest I just get in a warm/hot shower and get the area soft then you use a sterile needle and pop the blister otherwise the ducts get plugged up and it hurts like hell. I always feel much better after its popped.

    I got one and popped it with a sterile needle.  Not sure you're supposed to do that, but it was the only thing that worked for me.  Afterward I had to squeeze out semi-solid milk.  It was gross and it hurt like h*ll, but it healed very quickly after that.

    Yes, I just popped my first milk blister!  I popped it early so no solids inside, but it felt soooo good to get that clog out.  I recommend going sideways with the sterile needle... much less scary and gets the job done without risking too much damage.  GL!

    I didn't use a needle- I was too scared !!  I wound up just taking a very hot shower and staying in the steamy bathroom.  I used my clean fingernails to sort of pick back the skin until i was able to squeeze the liquid out. Once it was out, oooohhh boy did it feel better!
