I just heard back from my midwife and I failed my 1 hour but by only a point or two. I had the same exact thing with my 1st pregnancy. I had to take the 3 hour with my 1st and passed, the baby was always measuring right on track. This time around the baby has been measuring 5 weeks ahead for my last 3 appointments so I am having a u/s and a 3 hour test next week.
My question is for those of you who failed the 1 hour and then went ahead and failed the 3 hour was your 1 hour numbers off by a lot, or just a few points? Since my # we just off my a point or two, does that give me a better chance of passing the 3 hour??
Were your little ones measuring ahead as well?
Sorry for all the questions, I plan on talking more with my doc on Monday, I was just curious.
Thanks!
Re: GD question...sorry I am sure these get asked a lot!
Pre-e w/DD #1 -- now age four! GD and PIH w/DD#2 -- now age two! GD and unexplained third trimester bleeding with baby # 3 -- due Feb 27!
My 1 hour # was just a couple points over. And my 3 hr fasting was just a couple points over. So now I have GD, test 4 times a day and have to follow a meal plan.
I am measuring on track or just a little behind (I am petite though).
I passed the 1 hour with my first, but he was big so they started testing me early with this pregnancy. I passed the first 1 hour, then failed the second time they had me take the 1 hour by 1 point (136, I needed 135). I failed 2/4 on the 3 hour by just a couple points each as well, but I'm on meds now because my fasting numbers just kept going up and up as the weeks went on. I had a growth ultrasound yesterday and she's measuring just fine though, and has been about average all along.
