NCBelle - I followed your video tutorial for the double hammock (I use a 4.5m Vatanai), and I have to say I LOVE using it. It feels very comfortable, and secure. DD is still getting used to it, but I think she likes it too.
But... it takes me FOREVER to put it together. And half the time I have to start over because DD doesn't feel very secure up top.
Any hints or tips to make it quicker/easier? Right now I only use it at home, and I can't imagine using it out because it takes me so long!!
Re: NCBelle and Others - Double Hammock Question
I think the key is focusing on getting the top rail really tight and snug - doing that tends to tighten the rest of the wrap as well.
And just lots of practice!

I'm perfecting my DH and I have the same problem sometimes. I find that the multi-layered carries are more forgiving of that sort of thing. For example, this morning I wore DD for a while. I noticed when I took her down that we had a little bum poppage on the very bottom layer, but the next pass was secure enough that she was still in there securely... KWIM? I haven't rucked in a while for this reason.
Let me know when you learn the secret! :-)
The best advice I got for getting a tight DH is this:
Once you've brought the second pass over baby's back and are holding each rail in a hand, do a cheerleader V with your hands while you hop a bit. It really helps tighten everything up.
Learning that trick was the turning point for my DH.
Would you video that and let us see it, LOL!
