Let me just start off by saying this is a vent, and I do love my future SIL but OMG! Bro and SIL wedding next summer...I am matron of honor...she has been bridezilla...and worse, her aunt is auntzilla. I've taken days out of work to visit a million venues, dress shops, etc. Each time, my opinion counts for nothing and I basically just drive around with them wasting my day- all my thoughts shot down. So today she tells me that we need to "talk" because I'm not "excited" enough about her wedding.  WTF, I really just don't have it in me anymore.  I'm happy for them, sure, excited, sure, but don't expect cartwheels from me.  I was excited to dress my cute little toddler up for their wedding when I was pg the first time.  Then that dream was crushed.  I was then excited to use the wedding as motivation to loose pg weight the second pg.  Will now have to use it to loose my depression weight.  And the wedding is a year away!!!  Many nights, I cry myself to sleep...I'm not excited about ANYTHING right now.  Does anyone ever ask me about my losses or see if I'm doing okay? Nope.Never. Anyone notice that this once optimistic happy person now looks forward to not much at all, nope.  Couldn't tell this to anyone IRL 'cause they'd think I am being a ***...and maybe I am...but still....

    Dear Future SIL,

     STFU, get over yourself. NOBODY is excited for this event except the bride, who gets (a) A party (b) presents (c) people doting on her and (d) oh yea, a husband. You're lucky people even care to do anything at all. Do NOT expect anything other than lukewarm enthusiasm as  weddings are boring (unless it's yours).

    So kindly, back off, get over yourself and realize that the day after your wedding, you're just another old married biddy with a 50% shot of divorce.

    Im so sorry. I would have to tell FSIL to shove it, that you are dealing with some things right now that are bigger than her wedding. You are excited for her but you are dealinng with some hard things yourself and she should be more understanding.
