Our insurance will cover $15K of IVF with no strings (i.e. no IUI before IVF)...basically it's free money to do any fertility treatment.
The prob is husband is looking for other jobs.
This month was my 10th month of TTC #2. I've had all the fertility testing like HSG, SA etc..everything normal, normal cycles.
If I get a neg this cycle, I want to proceed to IVF.
I want DH to hold on to this job as long as he can to still get the insurance.
I'm scared I won't get a chance to use the ins money due to the variability of IVF + your cycles, timing etc..maybe if I start the process, the insurance money will be used...I would hate to think the insurance would "stop" or "stop payment" during IVF.
Why does my husband have to try to switch jobs when we have all this great money to use???? I don't care about his job...I want a larger family.
Re: Stressed over IVF
That's tough. Is there a big reason why he is looking to change jobs right now? Is he open to staying with his current job for a few months to a year longer for the coverage?
Coming from someone who's ins doesn't pay for anything IF related, I would be finding any way possible to hold on to that coverage for a while. Good luck. I hope it all works out for the best.
Fingers crossed you get a BFP this cycle and don't have to worry about it at all.

Did you have trouble the first time? If so I'd be surprised that your Dh wouldn't appreciate the value of your insurance. But then sometimes they just don't get it.
I kept asking mine to clarify with our insurance that things would be covered. I don't think he ever really checked, he just kept assuring me it would be fine. Then a bill got rejected 2 1/2 months after the charge was made and he was on fire about it. I didn't have much sympathy for him, I didn't think it would be covered in the first place.
Hopefully you can make him see the advantage to the current insurance plan even if he is unhappy with his position. I know tons of people who keep jobs they hate simply because the insurance is awesome.
1st prg was totally natural + conceived quickly....just talked with IVF people + they say I can do it next month...so I'm pretty sure I can use themoney and I may have my husband negotiate a couple extra weeks to start his new job so that the insurance is fully covering the procedure.
DH needs to move on to another job for various reasons the wonderful insurance isn't enough to keep him at his current job.
