Anyone had/have a low placenta??? My doctor told me that mine is low but I shouldnt be concerned, he believes that it will move as my uterus grows. Telling me not to worry is easier said than done. Anyone else dealing or dealt with this before?

I had complete previa at 16 weeks. By my 20 week u/s it had moved up and wasn't even considered low-lying anymore. They don't start worrying too much about it until you get later on into pregnancy.
I was told the exact same thing. I'm not concerned about it. There's nothing you can do about it so just try to take it easy and relax. 95% of the time, the placenta moves up.

I was just "diagnosed" with a low-lying placenta at my anatomy scan on Tuesday. The doc said not to worry as I have another 20 weeks for it to move. Most of the time it moves up as your uterus continues to expand, so I'm trying not to think too much about it. If it's still low at about 32 weeks I'll start to worry.
I was diagnosed with one too. My doctor said that at and before 20 weeks it's really "easy" to have a low lying placenta because the uterus is so small everything is relatively low. Like everyone else said, as the uterus grows it will carry the placenta upwards ~90% of the time. She also said that a low lying placenta doesn't mean an automatic c-section and that in her 15 years of practice she's never had to perform a c-section just because of a low lying placent. So, don't freak out just yet

Thanks ladies, I was only put on one restriction and that was no sex which sucks because i finally have a sex drive again (go figure) My next ultrasound is in 3 weeks so we will see what happens from there
Its nice to know that its fairly common and for most women things improve.
