Was anyone told the wrong sex?

Just curious if this actually happened to anyone, or even if you know anyone.

My friend was told she was having a girl, and then on a later ultrasound, the tech was like, you said you're having a girl? The tech saw boy parts so she was confused, and obviously told my friend that the prior tech had made a mistake. That would be tough, but even worse if you found out after delivery!

My friend just did. They were told boy twice. Once at 18 weeks and again at 24 weeks. They decorated the room sports themed and bought all boy stuff. They had two other girls so were pretty excited to be having a boy. Well out popped at girl at 38 weeks.

WOw! I thought if you were told a girl, it is a higher chance of being wrong, since boy parts can "hide".. not vice versa.. wonder how that happened!

I just had a friend who was told all along that she was having a girl. She received a gift certificate for a 3D u/s and decided to get it done at 35 weeks so that it wouldn't go to waste. At the 3D u/s she found out that the baby was actually a boy. She had everything ready for a little girl. Luckily she got everything switched to blue within a few weeks!!

This happened to my SIL a few years ago. It was their first child and was told it was a girl. She delivered a boy!! Crazy thing is they wrapped him up and handed the baby to her. Finally my SIL asked "it's a girl right?" and they all just stopped and said "um, no". HUGE surprise!! We had to run home and change the room for her because EVERYTHING was pink!! She didn't even consider any boy names..that was tough. She since had another boy!

We went team green too!

Yep! we were told we were having a girl and then at a later ultrasound a boy! Very shocking at the time but thankfully we found out before delivery!

we think we will be team green next time lol!

There's a baby girl at daycare that was supposed to be baby Noah. Of course she had everything set up for a boy.

My BFF thought she was having a girl until she got a 3D ultrasound at 36 weeks. They had bought all pink stuff, decorated their nursery pink and been given very girly presents by everyone too. She said her FI actually fell off his chair when they were told. lol

Yes. This happened to me. I was told at 11 weeks that it was a boy most likely. There was no way she could have known at that point. At 21 weeks, the neonatologist confirmed it was a girl.

It happened to me- we were told girl at 20 weeks and girl again in a 3D ultrasound at 25 weeks. At 37 weeks we found out we were actually having a boy. Couldn't imagine it any other way now, but it was quite the shock at that time!
