2 post-o temp drops?

Round two of my first month charting questions...

As of today, I FINALLY have CHs! I'm just so confused as to why I would have a substantial temp drop after ovulation?  Today was one of the drops and I wasn't feeling well and had just four hours of sleep - but I still woke up and temped at the same time.

The first temp drop (open circle) I understand because I slept through my alarm and temped two hours later than normal. This second one is throwing me off, though.  Is this a common fluke or is it a wait and see how it plays out kind of thing?   Ah, one more thing to obsess over...

    Well, when you temp LATER than usual, your temp is usually higher, so I'm not sure that explains your first temp drop.

    Are you recently off hormonal birth control? Your chart looks a lot like my first one off the pill. Feel free to click on my ticker and scroll all the way to the bottom.

    Sometimes, there is no rhyme or reason.

    Still too early to tell, it can be nothing or it can be an implantation dip...let's hope temps go back up tomorrow and stay there! Good Luck :)

     Oh good to know about the later temping - I had no idea it was usually higher then.  I've been off hormonal birth control since 9/09 so I don't think that's it either.

     I'll opt for the no rhyme or reason - or user error.  Who knows, I'm probably doing something screwy when actually temping.  Ah well, worth a shot! Thanks!

    I'm not sure about the 1st one, but many have an estrogen surge about 4, 5,6 + DPO (Around the time of "implantation dip") that can cause a temp dip. I get it pretty much every month. It's normal and is totally ok.

    I think there's a chance you may not have Oed yet. Your temps don't really confirm it.

    Good luck though! I hate to be a Debbie Downer, I just am giving you my opinion.

    To be honest, at first I wondered that also after the second dip.  I was completely surprised that FF gave me CH's at all.  With the first cycle charting, I figure anything is possible.  At least this way I won't be completely shocked if they are moved!
