help with stopping BF

anyone shed some light on an easy way to do this?

I want to gradually do this, since I have some frozen BM to use up. Is it bad to do a 1/2 and 1/2 bottle (formula and bm) or should they be 2 sep bottles all together?  I tried asking my doc, but i was so lost in my thoughts cuz the shots where coming soon that i dont really remember what was talked about!!

  • I hope that you get an answer, but when you gradually change to regular milk you do a half and half bottle.  Why couldn't you do that with breast milk?

  • I did this all the time because I didn't have enought bm.  I had to supplement with the formula.  Just make sure you mix the formula up first with water as directed before you combine with BM.  Don't use BM to mix the formula.
  • I have no experience with this (yet) but it makes sense to mix them in a way just so that way the change doesn't upset A's tummy.  For lack of a better comparison, when we switch the dog's food from one formula to the next we do it gradually (75% old/25% new, then 50/50, then 25/75).  It's probably worth calling the pediatrician since it's a simple question that they can answer when they have a few min.

this. E was fine and never had the constipation after the full transition that some babies get.
