Assuming you were healthy enough to actually do it.

The Baby Story right now is about a woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer and her sister is a surrogate for her.

For my sister or SIL I would do it in a heartbeat.

Yes. Without question. I would also do it for one of my close friends if they asked me.

My mom actually told me that if I ever needed her to, she would be a surrogate for me! She had very easy pregnancy and labors and said that if her girls needed it, she would do it. I thought that was pretty cool.

my younger sister yes. my older one no. my older sister has been a horrible biitch with this PG and there is no way i would put up with her sh!t AND carry her child.

Depends on the circumstances. I would love to surrogate, but IDK if I could do it and then have the baby so close all the time. I think I might need some seperation. I could probably do it, but I would need to put more thought into the repercussions of doing it for a close family member.

I honestly don't know. I would really have to put a lot of thought into it, and I think I will leave that as a 'cross that bridge if we get to it' kind of situation. I would like to say yes, but I honestly don't know that that would be my answer when it came down to it.

I can't really answer this question honestly since I'll never BE in that situation. But from the other side of things - if we knew that I had a physical issue that would preclude me from carrying a pregnancy, I know that I have family who would do it for me. But I don't know that I could ever ask that of someone, you know?

I would like to think I could, but I don't know that I could handle handing over that baby that I just spent 9 months carrying then spend time with that child at family functions.

If I ever was in a situation that someone needed me to do that I would probably go talk with a counselor before committing to it.

My SIL and BIL (DH's brother) have been TTC for the better part of 9 years with no sucess. I would be a surrogate for them in a heart beat. Especially now that I'm about to have my first.

I would also do it for any of my close friends.

I think I would. But I also think I would want to have at least one child of my own first.

I've also though about egg donation, but I would want to be done having children of my own first.
