Exactly 2 weeks after her husband.
She had been sick and since her husband passed she was telling everyone she was ready to go because she didn't have to take care of him anymore.
It's really sad but not that unexpected.
I just can't imagine how FIL is feeling right now. I can't imagine losing both my parents in two weeks.

That's so sad. I am so sorry for your DH and his family.
It's really interesting how the death of couples are often not that far apart, but two weeks seems really quick.
I can't imagine. Hugs.
My mother recently told me that she and my father have "decided" that when the time comes they are going together. I told her that I'm not really sure that is reasuring.
She's been on and off chemo for bone cancer for the last 2 years, when she's on chemo her cancer goes into remission when off it comes back. He has had a bad heart and dementia for years.
She recently decided to stop the chemo because it makes her weak and sick and shortly after stopping this last time she fell and was admitted to the hospital. He has a minor heart attack the next day and was in the hospital too.
They decided to move into assisted living and she had no one to care for anymore. We think she's been waiting for her husband to pass for a while so she could feel comfortable going. They had been together for 60 years.
