Trying to Get Pregnant

WWTTGPD? (Not TTGP Related)

I'm off work this week. Yay, staycation! Here's my question:

Would you walk a mile in the oppressive humidity to get your hair cut, or would you just drive?

The reward: Ice cream at the parlor next door to the hair salon. Saving the earth.

The risk: Arriving at the hair salon looking like a sweaty, frizzy mess. Not burning off the ice cream with the 2 mile walk and feeling even chubbier than I do already.

  • LOL, I would drive. Yeah it's only a mile which is nothing but I hate the heat and don't even like walking to my mailbox when it is so hot:)

  • If it's as hot there as it is here, I'd say drive!

  • I'd probably drive and not get the ice cream. Its the hair salon. That's my reasoning. If it were just the ice cream parlor then I would walk.
  • DRIVE! It is so hot here!

IMO- I'd drive. I treat haircuts like pampering as I love having my hair washed/styled etc. So I'd drive to relax through the process and I'd prob. Skip the ice cream. Mainly because I'm not a huge ice cream person and I wouldn't want to deal with the extra calories

Oddly- ever since my pre-wedding 'diet' I've easily said no to desserts across the board.

  • I'm a walker so I say walk! But since you are already expecting guilty feelings, walk + no ice cream

    :)

  • If it's as hot as it is here, I'd drive. The only time my hair ever looks good is right after it's cut, and in this heat, I would look like Courtney Love! Maybe drive for the hair apt, then ride a bike tonight for some ice cream!

Ok... no ice cream.  Even though according to the article someone posted below, full fat dairy will get me pregnant ;-)

And maybe I'll drive. I'm feeling frumpy lately, so it will be nice to have pretty hair for a day.

    Thanks for the responses!

  • Where do you live? I know in our area there are heat advisorys warning people against exercising outdoors at certain times of the day, especially alone. They are actually advising people to call and check on people who may be home alone. If you live near me I would say drive. Passing out from heat exhaustion is not worth ice cream (which I would get anyway)

I'm in NJ. It doesn't feel as bad today as it has the past few days. It helps that it's overcast. It's just really humid.

  • I would drive and still get the ice cream afterward.

  • I see getting my hair done as a treat, so I would drive and get ice cream. Just work out tomorrow! :P

I would walk. Or ride the bike if you have one. Enjoy your staycation!
