Or dieting secrets or exercise videos!
I'm having a super hard time bouncing back from having DS2. I'm getting a gym membership tomorrow. I want to lose weight a little faster though. I started taking hydroxycut, but with the side effects of mood swings and acne lol. I'm hoping there's something better out there.
Yes, I am now over weight for my height and age that is why I am trying to lose weight.
Re: Recomend your diet!
I love to give advice on this, my major in college was health and nutrition counseling.
I have been doing the 30 Day Shred DVD by Jillian Michaels-I got it from Amazon. I like it because it is quick-22 minutes, and it combined strength training, cardio, and abs. I just do it in the am before DS wakes up. The gym membership is great-so long as you can find the time to go. I have one too and usually make it on the weekends when my mom can watch DS. I would definitely recommend some sort of strength training-they will probably set you up with a program for free at the gym. You want to start building lean muscle which will ramp up your metabolism.
As far as diet, STOP taking Hydroxycut. That is not the right way to do it because it is a quick fix. What will happen when you stop taking it? Plus those side effects are scary.
If you want, write down everything you eat for a week and PM me. I will set you up with an eating plan. The main thing is fresh, whole foods, lean protein, complex carbs, limit your carbs at night (like a dinner of grilled chicken and a veggie and salad, or fish, or some other lean protein). Always eat breakfast-this gets you going for the day. I have lots and lots of ideas and I could go on and on but don't want to clog the thread. You can PM me if you have any questions or want to do the eating plan. Just page me to let me know that you sent me a PM.
Ditto everything PP said. Please stop taking Hydroxycut. Its useless for you, and does not work. Weight loss should be a slow process. You did not gain weight overnight, and it's just not healthy to lose weight overnight. Also, check out weight watchers. They have excellent statistics, and a great community to learn from. They focus on portion control, water intake, and filling yourself with daily dairy, healthy fats, daily recommended veg/fruit, protein, fiber. All of those are good for your body.
If you go to the gym, I recommend finding a program to follow. I always do better when I'm following a program. Currently doing "The New Rules of Lifting for Women". Check out the health & fitness board over on thenest.com and they can give excellent advice as well. Good luck to you!
Thanks for your help! Definantly good info!
