I do NOT recommend these frames for hanging! I spent all day yesterday working on a configuration for the family room and broke three frames in the process (at least they were only $5 or less). Every time I started hammering a nail for a new one, another one would fall off the wall. The bigger ones have a great system for hanging and stay put, but the smaller ones have a tiny little hook which either breaks off or is impossible to hang on a screw. They are very nice looking frames and very inexpensive, but I think they're better for leaning on a picture ledge or for tabletop use (they have the little leg in the back).
Here are a couple of pics: https://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0CbOWbVozasXjA
As you can see, some of the frames are a bit off and it really bugs me (reminded me of last night's episode of Modern Family, lol). My original composition was better, too, but I lost 3 frames in the process. So, I may have to redo the right side. The pics of the flowers and the dogs are part of the decor in the baby's room. The dresser is going right under that window. Once I finish leveling off these frames today, I hope to get started on the tree. BTW, I also included the painting I was working on the other day and the one in the breakfast nook that I did a while ago. If you know of any inexpensive framing places, please let me know.
TIA

They look great.. sorry some broke..
I love the painting in the dining room (i think) with the green? Really nice..
Ah what a shame that some broke, but it's looking good. I really like the paining in your dining room - what is that a beanstalk? I was laughing at your Modern Family comment - I watched last night and that is totally me! LMAO!
Michael's is good for framing when you can get your hands on one of their 50-60% off Framing coupons... I'll keep my eye out and let you know if I get any...
I love the paintings... so beautiful! Micheals has the framing dept but even with the 50-60% off its kind of expensive $150+ but I think you could built your own frame, its in the frame isle.
this happened to us and I got sooooooo fusterated that I felt like throwing all the frames away. What we ended up doing was drawing the shape of the frames on cronstruction paper with the mark of where the hole needs to be, then tape them on the wall to have an idea of the set up. I would move things around, but this way I would see the set up without nailing tons of holes to the wall. Then nail all the nails with the marking on the construction paper.

Oh, that sucks that some broke!
I think what you have is looking great though. Love the paintings. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, girls! I redid the frames (3rd time's the charm) b/c I found some hooks that I screwed directly onto the Ikea frames. Now, they're much easier to hang. I also got started on the mural in the baby girl's room. I hope to finish by tomorrow so I'll post pics then.
The green painting is a bamboo twisted in a circle. That's our breakfast nook. The butterfly wing abstract painting is going in our formal living room. That room is very beige right now, but I hope to liven it up with some red accents in the future.
Same thing happened to me. I bought some at walmart that were very similar and a bunch broke and then they came out un even which drove me nuts! Good luck in getting it all put together.
Your paintings are beautiful by the way!
