Question about terminology

Last month two of my IF friends delivered their babies  (a clomid singleton and clomid twins)

I met the clomid twins on the 4th of July.  I was telling the mom about my godsons and mentioned that they were spontaneous twins.  She then corrected me and said that even clomid twins are considered spontaneous.  Is this right?  (Her dr had her on clomid for 12 cycles before she got pg so I already question his judgment.)

Anyway, what is the PC term for twins that happen w/o any intervention?  I know we can all be sensitive sometimes so I don't want to offend people :)

    Call me old-fashioned (and maybe wrong) but I call them "natural" twins when they happen without intervention. I am sorry if I am offensive, I am just being honest. I would use caution though, depending on who I am talking to.

    I wouldn't call them spontaneous twins on Clomid, but I never really looked up definitions.

    Maybe spontaneous is somehow similar to fraternal?

    Are they identical?  If they are then they are spontaneous from my understanding, because IF drugs cause multi eggs not to split.  Maybe that's why?

    Like pp said if they are identical I would consider spontaneous.  But spontaneous on Clomid...I don't think so.  You are tricking your body to produce more folllicles.  How is that spontaneous??

    Okay, thanks everybody.  They are fraternal twins.  I thought maybe I had misunderstood the definition of spontaneous, but it seems like we're all on the same page. :)
