Can anyone else not feel their belly?

The forward most part of my stomach is pretty numb. (surface only) I think it's because my skin is stretched so far that the nerve endings are all, "wtf?!". Just curious if anyone else was getting this. It really irritates me... not to mention is kind of a pain. The other day I burned my belly on the stove (reaching for something above it) because I couldn't feel the heat right away. Not a bad burn or anything, but still! Lol

  • This is totally me!!!  It is so weird!  I think she is just pushing on a nerve or something, but I dunno.  My chiropractor said that it may be a start to stretch marks, but I hope not.  :-/

Me too!!! Right at the very tip just above the belly button. It's in one place. It freaked me out a bit when I went to itch it. I have loads of stretch marks and not sure if it's related or not.

  • Yep! Been completely numb since around 36 weeks.
Literally numb..whole belly. It's a very uncomfortable feeling.
I keep running the belly into everything.
DH elbowed me last night while I was on my laptop not paying attention, and was like "omg I'm so sorry!!" and I was like..."oh..did you touch me? I didn't feel anything..."

I have this 90% of the time at the top of my belly.  I can't feel myself rub or scratch there.  It is where her butt is and seems to be the most stretched area for me.

  • I have been numb right under my where my underwire is on the right side for about 6 weeks.  Dr. said it happens with about 20% of pregnant women and not to worry.  He said it's nothing harmful and it should go away after having baby.  I love the should part.
