growth spurt or snacking...

Tell me what you think. My DS is 6 1/2 weeks and is eating all the time today, every hour to every hour and a half. But he's not eating for very long. Sometimes just 5 minutes. He is getting milk though - not just sucking. Gobbles and gobbles quickly and then passes out cold. I've tried to wake him, diaper change, etc but he so sleepy. Do youthink this is a growth spurt or that he's just snacking? If he's just snacking, any suggestions on how to get him to have a full feed. TIA!!! New mom pulling my hair out!

    DD just went through a gworth spurt last week when she was hungry all the time, but she did eat a lot at every feeding. I do hold her off for at least 2.5 hours between feeds. If you think your LO may be just snacking, try extending the time he goes between feeds.
