Looking for a new RE

Stopping over from the Central PA boards in search of a new RE.   Someone who works well with AMA and DOR.  Possibly someone who does EPP.

I've heard of Shady Grove but I've seen very mixed reviews. The Frederick office would be the closest to me.   Also I just called VCRM but didn't get the greatest feeling about the place from the receptionist.  Although that doesn't necessarily rule them out.

Any advice is greatly appreciated and especially looking for advice on the ones to stay clear off.   If you prefer to email me privately my email is tripplebe@hotmail.com.  TIA!

  • If you are willing to travel to Baltimore County, I highly recommend Endrika Hinton, who is in private practice.

  • I used Shady Grove Fertility at GBMC to get pregnant w/ my daughter. It went by a different name but the doctors are still there and they are great. I used Dr. Yazigi but I also saw Dr. Katz and Wende. The receptionist are awesome as are the nurses. You can do all your bloodwork next door.
  • We went to the Fertilty Center of MD, in Towson.  Dr. Padilla was our RE, but we did see Smith and Bass as well. The RE"s were all great...some of the nurses I didn't care for.  PM me if you would like more details.  Good Luck!
  • I  know I'm a little late to this post but I HAD to respond. We went to Shady Grove at GBMC and saw Dr. Katz. He was wonderful! He took time with us and answered all of our questions. I was so worried walking into his office we'd never get pregnant and by the time we walked out after our first consultation I felt completely the opposite and knew it was just a matter of time. The other dr there, Dr. Yazigi is probably very good too but we didn't have to see him too often. We did see him occasionally in the mornings when I was having my u/s done for timing purposes (they switch off mornings since they are early mornings) and he was not quite as warm as Dr. Katz but still a very good doctor. After 2 IUI attempts with them we are now 34 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
  • You've Got Mail! Just in case you don't see this, but we were seen at the Columbia and Rockville offices of Shady Grove and I can't say anything but good things about the entire staff, everyone from the nurses to REs to desk staff, wonderfully organized, professional, and warm. We saw Dr. Osheroff mainly and sometimes Dr. Timmerick, and they were both fantastic. If we need help with TTC #2 (very likely), we'll be going right back to see them, though we're moving to the city this month, so we might seek a different satellite office!
