The RE called, so at least we don't have to pay for another consult. While the chromosome results are in, apparently the lab lost the hormone results which is just fvcking awesome (the nurse told us all results were normal so I'd assumed the hormones were in that but I guess not.). The REs office is going to try to convince the lab to cough up the hormone results.
Meanwhile, RE wants DH to locate a urologist and schedule a consult after the hormone results are in. Whenever that may be. It's been almost 7 weeks since the blood draw. If we're lucky they'll update online when the results come in. If not I'll be calling weekly because no one calls us unless the results are abnormal so it's impossible to know if the results are still lost or they just came back normal.
So I get to corral my DH into making an appointment. Where they'll probably tell us he needs surgery (because that's my luck) which I'll have to harass him into making an appointment for (because he hates any part of this that puts him as the patient) and then we'll get to wait 3 more months to see if there's a result.
On one hand, if the urologist can find something fixable- we can save a lot of money and start with IUIs. On the other hand, it's delay delay delay. I'm so tired of delays.
Re: I'm tired girls. Tell me it'll get easier.
I wish I could tell you it gets easier.
*big hugs*
I am so sorry. YH sounds just like mine. I have to make all his appts. or they would never get made.
Take it one step at a time. You will get through it and it will all be worth it in the end.
You will get stronger... but it never gets easier. Hang in there and remember that it is OK to breakdown once in a while.
::huge hugs::
I'm sorry you're having to go through this.
Maybe you can speak with the lab supervisor to let them know they will not be getting reimbursed by your insurance (or you) until they get you your results?

Out of pocket and they won't take the blood until they've been paid so that ship has already sailed. This is an outside lab that's contracted to the clinic so I talk to the nurse/RE who, in theory, talks to the lab. I don't get to talk to the lab itself.
Thanks for the good thoughts. For whatever reason it was just overwhelming today- to realize that we're not only not done- we're adding a new doc and new tests for even more new delays.
I think tonight is a margarita and hot bath kind of night

If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.
After 2 years & 2 losses, our little man arrived 8-2011.
Ugh, I hear you girl. Delays suck. In fact, DH and I skipped the urologist all together. I kept reading research (and my RE agreed) that the morph only changes about 3%. To me that wasn't worth it enough. But everyone does what's right for them. I'm already 32 and TTTC for 2 years, I wasn't waiting anymore! LOL
I'm really sorry. But when you have your clear plan someday, that's when it gets easier and you'll feel grea about it!
