Re: fussy baby ... tell me im not alone

  • You are not alone. My DD was very fussy and so is DS, he is 6 weeks and it seems to be getting worse. I think my DD was better around 3-4 months. Hopefully they will grow out of it. Some babies are just fussy.

  • You are not alone. 12 week old DS does not want to be put down to nap, will not tolerate the car seat unless it's in a constantly moving car or stroller and is only happy for a short time when awake and then quickly becomes cranky. Hang in there. It will get better.
  • You are not alone. My DS screamed through his one month appt. I am hoping his 2 mo will be better. He is 7.5 w and just showing signs of getting better

  • Mine is like this, too.  Pedi said it will likely get better around 3 months.  I hope so!

How do they diagnose fussy baby syndrome?

Well, my DD threw a sh*t fit in his office THE WHOLE TIME and I explained to him that I was having trouble with her because she was eating ALL THE TIME.  I told him that she nursed for an hour one day and then was hungry RIGHT after that.  He told me that she's not hungry-- she just wants to suck and that is what is soothing her.  He recommended a pacifier for her, but he said that she is what is considered a "fussy or high strung baby."  He said it should get better around 3 months, but I need to feed on a schedule or she will gain weight like crazy.  I got a pacifier after the visit and it made it so much better!  THANK the LORD!
