Trouble TTC

I hate my RE

DH and I first saw my RE on 5/10 and she seemed very proactive and we talked about clomid+IUI. She even wanted me to take prometrium so I could get my CD3 bloodwork before my June vacation, but luckily AF showed earlier than expected and I was able to get it done. As my next 6/21 appt neared, my RE's office called to reschedule me to 7/12 so DH could get b/w, which he had done on 6/22. Why didn't they tell us before that he needed b/w done?

Skip to today....which is CD1 (boo!). I called to get in for CD3 tests, and they said I'll have to wait until next cycle because my RE is on vacation this week and she didn't have a 'plan' written out for me. WHAT?! Apparently although there are many more RE's in the practice, I can only see mine. I'm totally pissed that I am going to see her on CD6 which will be too late to have a medicated cycle. So yet again, we'll do nothing.

Do you think I'm being too sensitive, or would you be pissed too?

Re: I hate my RE

  • Random question: Where do you go? I'm in MA as well. Smile

ETA: If you don't want to post it, you can PM me. Mine seems to be good so far. We just finished testing today and the follow-up to discuss a gameplan is on Friday.

Hey Mrs. Mo - I go to RSC New England. I typically go to the Westboro office, but sometimes Lexington. You?

Looks like we may have similar issues...my TSH was high as well (4.8)!

My doc's practice is at Mass General.

    Thyroid issues suck.

  • I'm sorry to hear about your RE.  That is tough to have to wait another cycle because there isn't a back-up while they are on vacation.  I never heard of it.

Butting into your conversation with Mrs. Mo, I also live in MA.  I got to a doctor who is affiliated with Tufts and Women and Infants.  The office is always open and someone is always available.  Let me know if you would like further info.
