Do people really buy pink car seats? I hate that car seat makers only have two or three designs to chose from. I will not buy a pink or purple car seat for Annabelle. Ugh, why can't they make red car seats or yellow?? I want something that is gender natural, in case down the road we decide to have another baby. I can't imagine a boy wanting to sit in a pink car seat.
Okay that's all!
Re: Pink Carseats
my mom bought a pink flowered one for her car for Ella - ewww.
DH and I both have gray ones.
I agree if I knew I was one and done then maybe I would buy pink. I've never been a fan of pink. Annabelle's room is in light green, and we can hopefully take off the border we have on her walls and add something else for baby#2. I think the only thing that baby #2 may not care for is the purple bumbo seat. But really it doesn't matter. Annabelle hardly even used the seat period.
I bought a lot of pink stuff when I registered - and I feel like an idiot about it now - I just never stopped to think that wasn't a good idea.
I'm still not sure if we are once and done or if we'll go for #2 but either way - it was sort of stupid.
I was so naive when it came to my registry. I had no idea what to purchase or put on that thing. I seriously have 20 baby blankets (that we don't use anymore) and 20 burp clothes (again don't use anymore).
Ugh, the baby blankets. I think I put one pack of 4 of the flannel Carters blankets on the registry, but we got soooooo many blankets for the shower and as gifts. The thing is I love them all, they are so soft and cute. I'm lame, but I always tried to rotate using various blankets during the winter because I loved them all.
I can see the case for pink carseats if you are only having one or if your kids are either close in age (will be using 2 carseats at the same time) or far apart (carseat will expire before 2nd child.) But I like pink.
We have a lot of blue stuff, but as my mom likes to say, "you can put blue on a girl, but you can't put pink on a boy." Well, I guess you can, but you know what I mean.
If #2 is a girl, she'll use DS's blue bouncer and bumbo. Who cares.
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!
My favorite money saving tip: I've earned more than $300 in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks, Southwest!) using SwagBucks for internet searching - and you can too! It's FREE and EASY!
I know several people who have pink carseats. Obviously, we weren't going out to buy a pink car seat! Aiden's carseats are gray and greyish blue (the greyish blue one converts to a booster, so it'll be his carseat till the carseat expires).
His infant carrier was red-Chicco.
I like the gray because it hides dirt well!

Ok, no judgement please...
We just bought the Britax Marathon "Emma" carseat for DS.
Yes, I said DS. Yes, the carseat is pink and flowered. In my defense, it is a Britax Marathon and was on sale for $170. I could not pass it up. Also in my defense, it is in my parents' car, and DS only uses it twice a week.
But I am in agreement, why do they even make these? Obviously they are not big sellers or else it wouldn't be on clearance for $170!
Anyway, just had to add my 2 cents
My poor DS...

Haha! Oh he'll be too little to remember riding around in a pink carseat
that's cute!
No judging at all. Heck if you can get a good deal like that, I say go for it.
This is so funny because I was team green w/ both kiddos so that 99.95% of the gear we have is neutral, but my dad wanted a car seat for E in his car so I bought him the pink Cosco one- it was only $46 and I figure she will be in it for a long time and we will have to buy D his own anyway.
Our other 2 convertible seats are black/gray though.
We plan on having our children close together so DD will still be in her convertible carseat when we have #2, if all goes as planned. I went ahead and got a stroller in pink, because when #2 comes I will be getting my sisters tandem stroller, which is navy blue.
The things that I got that were gender neutral are: Bouncy Seat, Highchair & Jumperoo.
Also, I totally wouldn't have a problem with a future DS using DDs pink stuff. My mom said that my little brother wore lots of pink outfits when they were at home during the days. (She always had him in boy clothing when she left the house!) He turned out fine!
