Babies: 3 - 6 Months

I did a power pump hour last night...

10 minute on, 10 minutes off etc.  I don't notice ANY difference in my pumping today.  Do I need to do an hour a day for a few days to see an increase?

Re: I did a power pump hour last night...

  • I have no idea.  But my nipples are so sore from the pump.  I pump 2x/3x daily at work.  I wish I could get up super early in the AM to pump before feeding DD at 6am.  My supply is plentiful at this time.  The only way I'd get out of bed to pump is if DD doesn't have enough milk for daycare.

  • I think you're supposed to power pump for three days or so.  I did it for two and was unable to do it yesterday, but I'm pretty sure I have more milk.  I'm going to do it tonight and tomorrow night, too.
  • You're supposed to power pump for a few days and then you'll see the increase. I didn't notice an immediate increase after i did a few power pumping sessions; I noticed an increase a few days later.
  • I usually do it for 3-4 days and have always noticed an increase.
