BBT Thermometer Question

Okay, I know that there are a ton of questions about these, but I am about to go out and buy an actual BBT thermometer (I have been using a regular digital one).
Does, the basic Walgreen's BBT Thermometer have a background that lights up? Do you recomend it? It got terrible reviews on walgreens.com so I just wanted to make sure before I get it.
Please let me know what you have. The main feature that I want is a background that has a light. I don't have a lamp on my side of the bed, so I either have to reach over DH to turn on the light, or I have to run to the bathroom and look at it before the screen goes blank (no memory feature).
