Hi. I'm new to the board. I am 38 and my DH is 42. We have been trying using an Ov monitor for about 5-6 months now with no luck. I saw an RE today for the first time. I'm going to get blood drawn to check FSH levels and then go from there. She mentioned that she is a tiny bit curious to see if I'm perimenopausal since my cycles are only 18-20 days apart. That bummed me out. I guess I didn't consider perimenopause in the list of issues we could have getting preg. Anyone have any words of wisdom for me? I could use some. Thanks!

First welcome to the board. The women here are great. 20 days is my normal cycle. It has been down to 14 days. It's been that way since AF showed up at 9 yo. The only time it any longer than that is when I'm on bc. There are tests that can be done to let you know approx. how many eggs are left per overy. And that will let both you and the dr know how close or if you are starting menopaus. good luck. And I hope every thing works out for you.
