it happened, POOP in the tub!

I've been afraid of this day for some time now. Last night, it happened. As B was taking a bath, I was washing the sink and I see her face, I say, are you going to poop? As her face turns red, she says NO.

I see the water turning color, I pull her out, she screams, I put her on the toilet, she screams "I want lil potty" I stick her back in the tub, run down, get the potty, put her on. Oy, what a mess. I then clorox's my tub, her tub, gave her a bath again and washed the entire bathroom.

She then asked me "are you proud me mommy?" I said of course I am, but why do you ask, she says "I did poopy on potty" I gave her a high five and kiss and said "yes, very prouf of you but next time, lets not get it in the bath tub"

  • Oh man. Gross, but funny - especially because I can totally imagine your reaction! Only you would scrub down your entire bathroom because of that! LOL

  • You mean it took THIS long?? ;)

L did this when he was really little, before he could sit up & I was taking his baths with him.  I looked down & I'm like...what is this stuff floating?  All of a sudden I realized & screamed for DH.  After sanitizing the tub, L & I BOTH took showers to get re-clean.  It was a long night.

  • Ew. That is the worst!Ick!

  • I'm trying so hard not to laugh because this hasn't happened to me yet, so I know what's coming if I do. All I can say is that I can picture that exact same scenario happening to me!
  • viva, you know me. I was flippin. I yelled for J to get his a$$ upstairs with clorox. Poor B was scared. I'm such an idiot.

  • We're going on like 4 or 5 times now. There's always a lot of screaming, and she ALWAYS denies she's going.

    It's not fun for anyone.

  • We have had this happen a bunch of times.  Emmy has "pooping issues" and the warm bath sometimes relaxes her.  Unfortunetely, poor ds shares tubby time with her.  So we are always on poop watch now when they are playing in the tub in case we have to help Jack make a quick escape.

  • E used to do it without fail, every time he'd get a bath!
  • I must say, this was the nastiest thing ever. B has never even really had a poop explosion. I've dreaded this day for a long time.

eh, at least my bathroom is clean now.

  • ha! It's been over a year since DD has done that, but yeesh.

    However -

I was getting her shower ready, she was naked & waiting for me to put her in.  I heard this dull thud, then her running away to the other end of the room.  Turned around, there's a giant effing turd on my bathroom floor, and dd in a corner looking scared and grossed out.  Picking that up was one of the grosser things I've done.  bleeeeeeh

  • Kori...I'm LOL here at my desk.  Too funny.
  • lol Kori! blech

that reminds me, I spent 10 minutes debating, do I dump the water into the tub and clorox after or attempt to dump it all in the bowl, I couldn't lift the tub with all that water.

  • Ugh, Kori. We had that happen last week too. I undressed her in her room, where she promptly peed on the floor. As I was cleaning that, I saw her trying to poop, and found some pellets. I screamed for H. He came up, was getting her tub ready as I was cleaning up and I hear him screaming. She'd pooped on the bathroom floor too.

That girl needs to learn the ins and outs of appropriate poop locales!

  • hhahaa!!!! that's cute! I'm scared of this day too...
  • I am totally laughing at "are you proud me mommy?"!!  That's too cute.  And of course she wants her lil potty.  LOL

We had a poop in the tub incident once, too.  She told me she had to go potty, take her out of the tub and put her on the potty and all she does is pee.  She goes back in the tub I turn to flush the toliet and turn back around and there is a Baby Ruth floating in the tub!  For the longest time, when she had to go potty she would tell me I pee pee in the potty an dpoop in the tub.  I'd say no we don't poop in the tub and she would say "no mommy no poop in the tub icky".  Ah gotta love 'em!

  • lol ragdoll, babyruth!
