I delivered at RH last year and it was a wonderful experience. I was induced and the induction lasted 28 hours, so we went through three full shifts of nurses and doctors. I think there were about three babies born while I was laboring, and I barely heard a thing (I was terrified of hearing other women screaming). No one made any comments about my wishes (epidural, etc.) Recovery was fine - they really leave you alone. There is a consistent stream of lactation consultants, but I BF, so I found them helpful. Some were a little pushy with their recommendations (no pacifers, bottles, etc.), but for the most part they were friendly and as involved as I wanted them to be.
We took the birthing classes at the Reading Hopsital and I think that really helped us know what to expect.
They are a teaching hospital so expect their residents to bring students into the room and duplicate what they do (checking your cervix, watching the delivery, etc.). That was a little unnerving, but I could tell they were nervous too (most weren't OB students) so I just joked around with them.
