Spotting or Bloody Show?

I wrote a post earlier about my depressing 40 week appt. My doctor did stretch my cervix. Well, I was having some spotting, but it was mixed with mucus and was stopping. I mean, it has pretty much stopped, but I just went to the bathroom and when I wiped I kept getting large amounts of mucus that was entirely red. Is this still considered spotting? Or is this bloody show?

I'm confused because I haven't had spotting at all during my pregnancy yet from any of my internals or even my pap smear at the beginning.

    Haha. Well, I'm not sure what it is. Bloody show would be great! But it is probably all due to the cervix stretching.

    My doctor said yesterday after my membrane sweep that I might see quite a bit of blood- like a period, but that it was just due to the trauma to the area.  Not sure if a cervix stretch would do the same thing though.
