This heat wave is rough! I know that I'm lucky to be off for the summer. Poor DH has to suit it up every morning and head to work. Baby and I are off to the pool.
What are you doing to stay cool these days?

I took the kids I babysit to the beach yesterday. We live in NJ and are about 45 minutes from the ocean. There are heat warnings (it was 105 yesterday, should be 102 today) all over this area, but the morning near the ocean was enough to keep us somewhat cool for a few hours. Today I am staying inside.

So jealous! I am sitting at work, inside enjoying a/c. I would much rather enjoy a pool.

PG#2 M/C 3/14 - Surprise BFP 2/13. Beta's doubled every 52 hours from 3w5d-5w5d Viable pregnancy scan at 5w5d; 2nd u/s showed 2 days of growth in 7 but a HB of 120 3rd u/s on 3/10/14 had no HB and baby had only grown 7 days over 14 D&C 3/17/14 - complications - DX Retroflexed uterus, multiple tears to cervix
FYI: Make sure you use the ladder instead of the side of the pool to get in and out. I now have a subchorionic hematoma and I swear pulling my weight out of the pool was a factor!!!!
I've been contemplating a nap for the past 2-3 hours haha. I wanna take the kids to the shore but I've never drove to jersey alone and today with the insane temps its not a good idea to begin with. We are headed to arizona and california in 24 days (where it will be hotter than hell I'm sure) and gonna have a pool in the yard that we will be in daily and then going to disneyland!
Re: Taking the baby to the pool today!
The pool sounds lovely! I can't wait till our trip to FL in August...
I'm working today, just like I did yesterday & like I will tomorrow. Its far from exciting - yet tolerable.

Same here. We go swimming every weekend, though. Thank goodness for the IL's in-ground pool!
