Anyone have a rapid heart rate?

Ever since I was in the hospital with my DS my heart rate has been high. Or, that's when everyone noticed it.  I've had holter monitors, EKG's etc.  before I was pregnant this time I was on Metoprolol but quite taking it when I got pregnant.  My dr. today put me on Toprol XL because he's not comfortable with it still being high.  I'm so worried I'm going to have a heart attack.  Is/has anyone else gone through this?  Or are on medications?

    How high are we talking??

    My resting heart rate throughout pregnancy has held steady around 100 to 110 - definitely higher than normal, but the doctors haven't been concerned.

    Today it was 132.  I don't really remember the last time it was below 100.

    Could it be thyroid related? A couple years ago I kept having racing-heart episodes -- it turned out to be a temporary hyperthyroid condition. I've heard that pregnancy can trigger thyroid issues.

    Just my 2?.

    My resting heart rate has been between 140 - 170 for the past 3 months.  I visited the Cardiologist and they ran every test possible and they think it's due to my Hiatel Hernia.  I don't have to wear a monitor and I'm not taking any medication.  They said to let them know if it gets worse.  They said this sometimes happens during pregnancy and not to worry.  They said they would only be worried if it continued after she's born.
