My DD will be starting daycare when she is 3 months old. I was wondering if you noticed your LO's schedule/routine changing after daycare. Did they seem to get on a schedule at daycare?
our daycare works with your baby's schedule until approx 9mo or when they start crawling - which is when they move up to a "mobile infant" room - and have 2 scheduled naps. they'll still have the babies nap/eat when needed- but try to get them on the 2 nap schedule - which my boys did pretty quickly (they started that room at 9mo).
now i have them 100% on the daycare schedule-even though they are only there 2 days a week - it's a great schedule that works with them at home, too - so i use it, too.
My DD started daycare @ 15 weeks and was on a rough schedule of eating every 3 hours. Daycare followed her schedule and cues for eating and napping. Around 6 months she started to follow a more regular schedule and by 10 months she was on a pretty firm schedule.
DS started daycare at three months. The daycare generally followed his cues as far as eating and sleeping, but he developed his own rough schedule pretty soon, for eating at least. (He took a while to get a good napping schedule at school.) He ate about 2 1/2 hours or so. He also developed his own schedule at home about the same time. Before daycare, he didn't really have a bed time. I noticed once he started, he was always really sleepy at about the same time every day, 7:30, so we just started making that his bed time. He also started waking up at the same time every day, about 6:30 am. This schedul stuck on the weekends, too.
