in Postpartum Depression

I just started it for PPA. What are your experiences? My doctor started me slow (10mg) to see how I feel on it. During the day, I feel great. At night I start to feel weepy and more depressed than usual.

 How long did it take for you to feel it "work?"

    About 3 weeks for it to fully kick in for me.  I also find in the beginning that since I take it before bed I always have a little more difficulty at the end of the day.

    It took about a month for it to kick in with me. But I recently just switched to Effexor RX (sp?) because the Celexa has started to make me gain weight.

    I've taken Celexa for almost 5 years and it's never made me gain weight.

    It took 2 weeks before I started feeling better. I've been on it for a little over a month and I'm doing soo much better.  I take my meds at night with a sleeping aid b/c it made me really fidgety and cloudy during the day. I'm hoping to wean off the sleeping meds soon though.

    So far, I haven't gained anything.

    It was definitely a few weeks for things to really kick in. After the first couple doses, I could tell that it really "took the edge off" but I was still upset and weepy. After a few weeks, I felt much better. However, I was also on 40 mg (20 mg 2x day). If you still have a tough time in a few weeks, perhaps ask if it's possible to do 2x a day instead of one?
