Lurking on the 0-3 board...

Makes me grateful that DS is the age he is. Is that terrible? I mean of course I was in love with DS as a newborn and there's nothing better than a cuddly, sweet-smelling, non-mobile little squishy baby but OMG it was so hard. I had PPD issues and I just remember thinking "I don't know what I'm doing. I'm going to screw this kid up." And how little sleep you get and how you can't figure out why they're screaming after you've tried everything. I remember when a 4hr stretch of sleep was heaven.

 

Am I the only one?

    I think it's harder now that he is mobile but also more rewarding.

    I have found things to love with every stage my son has been in, but I admit, I'm not jealous of the sleepless nights.  I can't help but brag a little when I hear someone complaining about the lack of sleep, and my kid sleeps 12 hours every night.  Big Smile

    Yes I hear that. Can't say I miss a whole heck of a lot about those days ... but then, Chloe had severe colic for many, many months.

    Thanks to teething, a 4-hour stretch of sleep still feels like heaven to me.

    This! I have loved every phase of development as DD has grown. I have enjoyed sleep too, especially being a night shift nurse I don't get much when I'm working a stretch.

    I didn't like the newborn stage.  I think a lot of people don't.
