light cramping into second trimester?

Hey,

I have had light cramping ever since i knew i was pregnant. Not all the time or everyday, but i still notice it. Is it normal to still have light cramping into the second trimester? BTW-- no bleeding or severe cramping.

  • I am having this too, I figure if no spotting it must just be growing pains, but it still scares me.

  • I have been told that my cramps are from my uterus growing/things shifting, so I would think I would have them all throughout my pregnancy
  • Funny you posted this...I've had very mild cramping today.  I'm not sure if it's my back hurting though but it's there and mild and I just read that the uterus is really growing now so it's normal
  • Yeah, it's actually picked up a tad.

The thing with it this time, it's more RLP related (I've had a bit more of this recently), positional and sometimes movement specific.  I chalk it up to growing uterus and expanding things out that have never been expanded out before.

  • Yep, I started having some light cramping over the weekend too. I was tempted to post this very same question. Glad you did. I feel better knowing I am not the only one.

  • I am right there with you --- I think it is movement caused but you never know....
  • weird, i've also been noticing more pulling/cramping/tightening etc. over the last few days, for the first time in weeks.
