    everything i need by melissa ferrick

    it gave us about 11 minutes to work with

    For DD's we did Amazing by Janelle, You Are So Beautiful by Joe Cocker, and Lullaby by Dixie Chicks.  I love, love, LOVE DD's video.  It's in her blog (from November 2009) if you feel like watching it.  :)

    Our video was short - but I used "Smile, Smile, Smile" by Dan Zanes

    Some other songs I considered were:

    "Wildflowers" by Tom Petty

    "Upside Down" by Jack Johnson

    and "Lucky Today" by Cloud Cult.

    I don't have a daughter, but "Baby Girl" by Will Hoge is amazing!! My Dad and I danced to it at my wedding and there wasn't a dry eye in the reception hall.  I went to see Will's band play alot in college and he is a really nice guy too. You can listen to a clip on the first link and the lyrics are at the 2nd link.  Hope you love it as much as I do.  Will wrote it for the birth of his lead guitarist's daughter:

    I will admit that not all of these song suggestions are normal, but they seem to fit the mood I was in at the time.  Also B's slide show is in my blog, it was posted October 2009.

    1,2,3,4- Plain White Tees

    Still Fighting It- Ben Folds

    You Are My Sunshine- Elizabeth Mitchel

    Smile- Uncle Kracker (the video to this song was filmed on our lake, so I guess this song feels like it has more meaning.)

    Stolen- Dashboard Confessional

    I have a boy, but if I had a girl, I would use My Girl and Isn't she lovely (Stevie Wonder).  Check out Michael Buble, he has a great voice and lots of songs about girls that could work. 

    For my LO, I am using Ordinary Miracle (Sarah McLaughlin) and Darling Boy (John Lennon)
