Talk to me about IUI

My IVF #2 was converted to an IUI yesterday and I am really disappointed.  35 shots and nothing to show for it.  I have 2 follies, 18mm and 20 mm.  I triggered with ovidrel yesterday and appts. tomorrow.  I have never even done an IUI, so I don't know what to expect. 

Questions...

1.  BD timing?

2.  Good sperm #s?

3. Are these follies good?

4.  When did you POAS?

 5.  Any miracle IUI success stories?

I keep telling myself that the sperm and egg met each other unassisted once, so it isn't too far of a stretch to think that they could again, right??  I would love for this to work.  It feels so much more natural to me than IVF (funny what I consider natural now!!), but I am such a pessimist.

    Oh wow...I triggered with a 17 and 19 mm follies and both took on my last IUI.   I'm expecting twins.  The IUI was 36 hours after triggering.

    1.  BD timing?  We had sex that same night of the IUI and that's it.

    2.  Good sperm #s?  The nurse was almost making fun of my H...over a billion-

    3. Are these follies good?  YES!!!!!  They're perfect! 

    4.  When did you POAS? I tested the trigger out at 6 dpiui and got my positive late, late night of 8 dpiui

     5.  Any miracle IUI success stories?  This was my third IUI but, first with injectables.  You'll get some good stories from the ladies on this board.  Since you've already had a baby your chances with IUI are much higher than someone who has never been pregnant before.

    1.  BD timing?  We waited at least 12 hours after our IUI as to not cause uterine cramping with female orgasm. There's a lot of different theories on this - some docs tell you to "back it up" with sex, others tell you to do what you want, and some say not to. Ours said do what you want but after 17 months of "backing it up" we didn't.

    2.  Good sperm #s?  10 mil post wash both times (back to back IUIs)

    3. Are these follies good?  YES!!!!!  They're perfect! 

    4.  When did you POAS? I tested the trigger out at 8dpiui and then got a faint + on 11dpiui and continued to be faint until beta. 1st PG was BFN all the way to 14dpiui = faint and 15= + dig.

     5.  Any miracle IUI success stories? I have two :)

    Good Luck!  It's really not bad. 

    1) We were told to that night so we'd never know how it happened if we got pregnant.  We were exhausted BD the next morning.

    2) Anything over 10 mil post wash excellent

    3) Your follies are great. 

    4) Both pregnancies I POAS too early at 9 dpiui and got negatives.  This IUI I didn't get a positive until 12 dpiui

    5) After eighteen months trying got pregnant with my second Clomid IUI cycle with my DS (Only one mature follie).  This time around was told things were worse with DH and got pregnant first IUI with Clomid (two mature follies)!
