  Well I live in Wayne County but it didn't take long at all to get my card and info in the mail. Did you go to the Dept of Human Services and speak with a worker? Cuz that's what I did and she signed me right up and got me rolling. Try calling your worker if you don't get it soon!

  I filled out the Assistance Application and turned it in to the Dept of Human Services, but they just stamped my application saying they recieved it and said I would get a letter in the mail.

  I waited 3 months before I could go see a doctor through medicad in wayne county. If you don't hear anything in a week contact your worker and KEEP contacting them because they lose paper work there like its the only thing they do. I called mine & her voice mail was full so I started faxing her and dropping off letters then eventually had to speek to her supervisor because she wasn't moving fast enough along. Any assistance you get through the state just be prepared to wait. In the mean time if you havn't seen a doctor yet Walmart has prenatal vitamins that are inexpensive.

  It was fairly quick for me. I filled out the information online. Look that up and do that too. In the meantime look for a doctor that accepts it and call for an appointment. It took me I think 3 weeks to get into my doctor for the first visit. Nobody wants a pregnant woman not to go to the doctors! So they are pretty quick. Online they pretty much tell you right away you qualify, then within a week I got the letter with my case manager info. Good Luck. My doctor delivers out of Huron Valley.
