3rd Trimester

Have you called your doc for decrease of movement?

I'm debating it.  I felt it yesterday, but then he/she started going nuts, so all was fine.  But, today, I've been feeling it again.  I haven't felt much since about 3.  I may wait until DH gets home and make the call (so someone can watch my son).  I have felt squirms, but not much.

Try drinking something and lying down on your side.

If that doesn't work, I'd call.

  • I count squirms as movement. I wouldn't call the doc unless I couldn't feel 4 movements in an hour (what they had on their sheet to call for). I have never called the doc for decreased movement.
  • We actually made our first trip to LD last week for this.  Before I called, I drank a glass of juice (to give Baby some sugar) then laid on my side for one hour.  My doctor wants 10 kicks within one hour and I only felt 6, so I called.  They had me eat dinner and lay down for another hour.  This time I got 10, but not "normal" kicks/movement.  I called to get the doctor's opinion, he had me come in and get hooked up to a monitor....everything checked out fine and we were on our way home.  I am so glad that I made the call and went in...put my mind and DH's mind at ease!

  • I drank apple juice and then layed on the couch (my son was NOT happy about that).  I felt ten movements in less than 7 minutes (I have an app on my phone that I use when I'm getting freaked that'll keep track of how long it takes to feel 10 movements).  I did it again after and did that in less that 6 minutes.  So, I'm making kick counts!  I go to the doc on Thursday-I'm going to talk to her then about my decrease.  Although I know there are two times during the day I'll feel baby the most.  Once between 1 and 3 and once at night before bed time.
