Re: ***missionimpossible***

  • Hi there!  Hope you are well.  We are adopting our third and final child from Kazakhstan. Our first two are from Guatemala. The process is about 18 months long for Kazakhstan, which is ok for us as we are trying to space things out.  We will need to travel there for either 2 visits (one of 21 days, one of 3-5 days), or one longer stay of a couple months.  The process is going a bit slower this time around as far as paperwork because getting everything in with 2 kids, 2 jobs, and 2 dogs is a lot harder than doing it without kids.

I think it is great you are doing foster/adopt.  I have a friend who went from 0 to 3 kids that way--but it took some time.  Her boys are wonderful kids.  Good luck with it-I know foster/adopt can be tough at times and I really have a lot of respect for people who choose that route. Much love, and feel free to ask me about International Adoption anytime!  Jill
