2nd Trimester

Maternity swimsuit

I have one but we are going to the beach and I need at least one more.  I don't want to spend a fortune on something I will only wear a couple of times, but I also don't want one that is really ugly, either.

I'm not a fan of the ones at Target or Old Navy.  Where else is there that the suits don't cost an arm and a leg?

Re: Maternity swimsuit

  • I got mine at Motherhood. I like it. I think I paid around $57 for the entire thing (it is a tankini).

  • i just bought one this past weekend at boscov's (kind of like a jc penny's). it was a motherhood one & their prices are usually marked down a bit from what motherhood charges. i think it paid $40.

eta: this will probably make sense to you (i hope) - boscov's is delaware's version of bon ton. hope that helps!

  • You're 14 weeks now but how far along will you be when you go away? I am just trying to imagine how big you are/how much you are showing, bc I know that a lot of women can get away with wearing a regular swimsuit earlier on in their pregnancies. (So maybe you can get a non maternity suit!)

  • I got one at Macy's, the one near me carries some maternity including Motherhood. All affordable like $25-$30 for the entire suit.

I will be about 18 weeks.  Considering this is my second, and my son just turned a year, a regular suit isn't an option Sad

  • I just got one at Motherhood yesterday.  It was on sale for $20.

    Good luck.

  • Motherhood's got them on sale right now, I think.  That's about all the ideas I've got.  :(
  • I got mine at Motherhood for 30 something dollars.

  • I just got a white and black tankini top from Motherhood maternity. It was on sale for $20 (50% off). Then I went to Target and bought one of their black swim suit bottoms/skirts for $15 on sale. I am really pleased with it.

  • I also just bought one at Motherhood that was $60 on sale for $30....I also just saw an e-mail coupon today from MM.  I'm very busty (even before) and I'm actually rather pleased with it.

  • I got tankinis from Old Navy.  I'm not such a fan of the maternity bath suits.  Mine fit fine and everyone tells me how cute they are regularly (we live by the beach, so I practically live in my bathing suits on the weekends).
  • Walmart.com has one for $17...I was thinking of ordering it because I didn't want to spend much money, but I haven't yet so I couldn't tell you about the quality of it!

  • Kohls!!! I got two from there (Elle brand and Croft and Barrow)  They are really long tankinis and adorable.  I have gotten soooo many compliments on them and they were 20 bucks.

My thoughts exactly. I have a big ole belly but I still fit into my pre-pregnancy bikinis, and plan on wearing them for as long as I can. I actually wore one to the beach today.
